Harness offers a Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road course which seeks to provide the knowledge of dangerous goods road transport legislation and the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG 7).

TLILIC0001- Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road

This course is a mandatory step in applying for a dangerous goods driver license.

A dangerous goods drivers licence is required for the transport of dangerous goods in the following cases:

  • If the goods are in a receptacle with a capacity of more than 500L
  • If there is more than 500kg in a single receptacle
  • In the case of intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), where the total capacity of all IBCs is more than 3000L or where any IBC is filled or emptied while on the vehicle

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road course, participants will be awarded the Unit of Competency:

  • TLILIC0001- Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road

Please note: this course is only one of several criteria for obtaining the licence, and additional State non-competency related requirements must be satisfied to meet the licensing requirements. Depending on the jurisdiction these may include:

  • Minimum age limits
  • Drivers licence
  • Suitable driver traffic history
  • Satisfactory medical report
  • Criminal history checks

Upon successful completion of the training, and once all of the necessary requirements are fulfilled, students must complete an online application for a dangerous goods driver licence.
