Program Benefits

Why should I seek to obtain a Licence to operate a forklift truck?

  • Future employment opportunities – Obtaining a licence to operate a forklift truck increases the number of job role options open to holders of the licence, provides opportunities for a more interesting job and increases potential earning capacity.
  • Existing employment requirements – The definition of a forklift truck as outlined by www.training.gov.au is “a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other arms that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground” and “does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck”. Any person undertaking work of this nature is therefore required to hold a forklift truck high risk work (HRW) licence.
  • In Harness’ forklift licence course for Brisbane, you’ll get tonnes of practical experience to build your comfort and familiarity with the job and become a licensed forklift operator.

Learning Methods

The mode of delivery for this course is face to face in a classroom environment as well as significant practical elements outside of the classroom.

Please note – RPL is not available for licensed courses.
