Course Details

The 2 day Confined Space Rescue course at Harness is nationally accredited and covers the skills and knowledge to undertake rescue in confined spaces as a member of a single agency or multi-disciplinary team. This course has been designed for personnel from organisations where confined space work is undertaken and covers a range of confined space rescue situations.

Please note: Participants must have completed the following in order to undertake this course:

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course you will be issued a statement of attainment for the below units of competency:

  • PUAEME001B – Provide emergency care
  • PUAFIR215 – Prevent injury
  • PUASAR022A – Participate in a Rescue Operation
  • PUASAR025A – Undertake confined space rescue

Course Content

 Confined Space Rescue course content:

  • Prepare for confined space rescue operation
  • Assess and manage confined space/trench rescue
  • Determine location and condition of casualties
  • Gain entry to confined space
  • Remove casualties
  • Conclude rescue operations
