Course Details

Harness offers combined Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Level 1 & 2 training which  which seeks to demonstrate awareness of chain of responsibility regulations and align to contemporary industry needs and legislative requirements.

On successful completion, participants will be awarded the Unit of Competencies:

  • Apply chain of responsibility legislation, regulations and workplace procedures – TLIF0001.
  • Administer chain of responsibility policies and procedures – TLIF0002.

Learning Outcomes:

The assessment for this course has been designed to assess the individual to the Australian Qualification Framework, relevant Training Package RII, Australian and Industry expectations, as well as Commonwealth and State Legislation.

On successful completion, participants will be awarded the Unit of Competencies:

  • Apply chain of responsibility legislation, regulations and workplace procedures – TLIF0001.
  • Administer chain of responsibility (CoR) policies and procedures – TLIF0002.

Learning Methods:

The mode of delivery for this course is face to face in a classroom environment as well as significant practical elements outside of the classroom.

In the delivery of this course, our trainers focus on providing an individualised adult learning environment that considers the learner’s employment history and experience in the industry.

Theory is presented in a supportive learner centered environment designed to provide functional theoretical knowledge that is directly applicable to real world tasks.

Learning materials provided include the Harness student handbook and participants will be advised in advance of attending the course if there are any materials to be provided by them.

Course Content:

Throughout the Harness course our trainers will cover off the below operations ensuring a comprehensive understanding of both practical and theoretical elements.

Apply chain of responsibility (CoR) legislation, regulations and workplace procedures – TLIF0001:

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to identify, apply and follow chain of responsibility legislation, regulations and workplace procedures in relation to heavy vehicles as they apply to an individual’s own job role.

It includes explaining the chain of responsibility (CoR) features, applying the requirements, and identifying and reporting breaches in the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and regulations or applicable state/territory law and regulations.

Administer chain of responsibility policies and procedures – TLIF0002:

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to identify, apply and follow chain of responsibility policies and procedures in a supervisory role in relation to heavy vehicles.

It includes explaining the chain of responsibility features and administering the requirements in the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and regulations or applicable state/territory law and regulations. It also involves administering and monitoring chain of responsibility(CoR) workplace policies and procedures, and identifying and reporting chain of responsibility breaches.
